DECEMBER 2019 RAINFALL IS BELOW AVERAGE, BUT YEARLY TOTAL IS WAY UP

The final three months of 2019, rainfall fell short of the average each month.But numbers for the year were way above normal precipitation.

2.75 inches of rain was recorded in the area for December, just shy of the average of 3.1 for the month.There were 9 days of precipitation last month, with the largest amount on December 30th at 1.19 inches.

For all of 2019, 49.65 inches of rain fell.That’s about 12 inches above the normal precipitation in a year for northwest Ohio.
