OBITUARY JOHN CUSHER
Former Liberty Center Tiger coach John Cusher passed away Monday at the age of 76 in Barberton, Ohio; after a battle with cancer. John taught at Liberty Center schools for 33 years, and served the district as athletic director, boys head track coach, and was an assistant coach in football and girls basketball. His 1998 boys track team won the state Div. 3 championship, and they were runnerup the following year.
Coach Cusher would also serve as an official in track and cross country for 40 years.
The mass of Christian burial for John Cusher will be Friday at 10am at St. Augustin Catholic church in Barberton. Calling hours are Thursday from 5 till 8pm at the Silva-Hostetler Funeral Home on Wooster Road West Barberton.
