The village of Holgate has approved pay raises for some town employees. That action took place at the Holgate Council session, with increases ranging from 2 to 3%.
The village has been noticing problems with illegal connections on home sewer systems. They will be inspecting houses to determine if residents are complying with laws. And letters will be sent to land owners soon regarding sidewalks that are in need of repair. Home-owners will be responsible for the improvements. Spring cleanup in Holgate is set for April 23rd, 24th and 25th, with drop-off at the swimming pool parking lot from 8:30am till 8pm each of those days.
There will be no community improvement meeting in Holgate for March 20th, it’s been rescheduled for April 3rd.
And the Holgate village office will be closed next Thursday and Friday due to state training.
