The topic of power issues was a top priority for the Napoleon Board of Public Affairs on Monday. Council is hoping to pay-off the debt on the solar field project early, to achieve some savings in electric rates. But that request will turn into a vote of AMP members in the solar project, before Napoleon can go forward with their early payoff.
Napoleon Council will see legislation coming in the next weeks for the sale of their northside electric substation. This will keep the city from paying for a full time operator at that station.
And a meeting is being set-up with satellite customers of Napoleon’s water distribution system on March 23rd, to discuss the issue of water rates looking to the future, and the type of billing structure to use.
