DEFIANCE COMMISSIONERS COMMIT TO RESTROOM PROJECT

The Defiance County Commissioners have committed funds to pay for infrastructure needed at the fairgrounds in Hicksville, to help with installation of a new modular restroom facility adjacent to the senior citizens and veterans area.  The cost for the utility and concrete work has not yet been established; but the fair foundation will spend nearly $37,000 for the restroom facility, with a delivery date in July.   Defiance County Commissioners believe they will receive funds to construct a new veterans-senior pavilion at the fairgrounds.

And the board awarded the bid for Defiance County’s road widening project to Vernon Nagel Construction of Napoleon, at a cost of about $675,000.  That’s approximately $190,000 under the engineer’s estimate for the work.
