DEFIANCE SEEKING GRANT TO IMPROVE INTERSECTION

An upgrade at a south side Defiance intersection is proposed in a grant application approved by city council Tuesday night.   Defiance is seeking $325,000 from the Ohio Public Works Commission, to help make improvements at Jefferson and Palmer Drive, an intersection adjacent to the new high school.  This is part of a total project estimated at over $816,000, with the city expected to pick-up the rest of the cost.
