COLUMBUS RECORDS 130TH MURDER, MARIJUANA PROPOSAL

It’s been a deadly year in the capital city of Ohio.  Police report the 130th murder of the year took place Monday, when 29 year old Brandon Meeks was gunned down on Barthman Avenue on the north side of Columbus.  There were 106 murders in all of 2016.

And a new campaign to legalize marijuana is underway in the Buckeye State.  The owner of a company that missed out on the medical pot-growing licenses plans to place a constitutional amendment on the ballot in 2018.  Jimmy Gould’s proposal would regulate marijuana like alcohol, and would allow Ohioans to grow, sell and smoke pot.
