NAPOLEON REC BOARD ON CAPITAL PROJECTS FOR 2018

The Napoleon Parks and Recreation board finalized their recommendation on capital improvement requests for 2018.  The list includes replacement of playground equipment at Glenwood Park at $25,000, replacement of a mower at the golf course for $20,000, phase 2 of renovations to the batting cages at Oakwood Park for $15,000, and an additional $25,000 is being set aside for the swimming pool renovation fund.

A council member had requested the recreation department set aside an additional $3,000 to upgrade the fireworks display for July 4th.  After much discussion, the Napoleon rec board decided the current display is excellent as is, and the money will be spent elsewhere.

The boys basketball program for youth begins December 2nd in Napoleon, with the girls tipping off December 9th.
