Putnam County was one of 30 communities to receive funding for housing rehabilitation for low-income residents around the state. The Ohio Development Services Agency released 24 million dollars for these community development block grants. Putnam County was awarded 1.25 million dollars to rehabilitate 16 homes, repair 31 others, along with 4 rental homes. Putnam County also will provide rental assistance to four other families that qualified under the program. And three homes will be built in the Habitat for Humanity program.
