The new senior center in Henry County is starting to take shape, and it’s a buzz of activity inside with construction and installations. The gym floors are currently going-in, along with epoxy flooring in the kitchen, art room and restroom areas. Athletic equipment will arrive when the gym floor is complete. And the equipment for the kitchen, to help produce over 250 meals each day will be arriving the week of November 6th. Henry County Senior Center Director Sandy Blackwood reports cabinets and desks are being installed now. This will lead-up to a big dedication and open house for the new senior center on Rohrs Street in Napoleon, so save the date of Saturday, December 16th. The open house will be held that afternoon, and will include demonstrations of pickle-ball, shuffleboard, art activities, and the new wood-working area for seniors.
