AUGUST RAINFALL HITS THE SKIDS

After months of rain through the spring and summer this year, the rain gauge barely registered an inch and a half of precipitation for the month of August in northwest Ohio.   The weather watchers at the waste-water plant in Napoleon recorded 1.53 inches for the month.   There were 10 different days where rain was recorded; but none was up to even a half-inch.   That 1.53 inches recorded last month is 1.7 inches below normal.    The average rainfall for September is 2.97 inches.
