There are stories of dangerous scenarios involving exchanges in secluded parking lots, when merchandise is purchased through e-bay or Craig’s list. Even custody exchanges involving children can be explosive situations. That’s why the Putnam County Sheriff’s office is working to create a ‘safe exchange zone’ at their location on Heritage Trail Drive in Ottawa.
The sheriff’s office will be announcing the date of this safe exchange zone when all details are worked out.
