CCNO EXTENDS SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT PROGRAM

With state funds running-out at the end of this month for the intense substance abuse treatment program at CCNO, the board had a decision to make.   Some counties have expressed interest in continuing that substance abuse treatment, for low level, non-violent felons.  And a grant is being applied-for to extend the program.

The new chairman of the Corrections Commission of Northwest Ohio is Bob Hastedt, Henry County Commissioner; with Brian Davis of Williams County selected as vice chair.              The current bed allotment will remain the same which allows 323 beds for Lucas County, 60 for Defiance County, 55 beds for Fulton and Williams Counties, and 37 for Henry County.       Another 10 beds are reserved for the U.S. Marshals office, and another 40 are utilized for post release control offenders.

The CCNO board went into executive session to discuss pending litigation; but no action was taken.
