THURSDAY 8/24 TRAFFIC UPDATE

A Hamler man suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash east of Napoleon Wednesday afternoon.  The Henry County Sheriff’s office investigated the collision at the intersection of state route 109 and U.S. 6 at 2:15pm yesterday.  59 year old Christopher Oard of Hamler was injured and transported by Life Flight to St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo.  Also injured in the accident was 33 year old Bradley Booth of Liberty Center, and 43 year old John Stout of Grelton.  Booth and Stout were both transported to the Henry County Hospital, with Malinta and McClure Rescue both at the scene.

The Henry County Sheriff’s office investigated two other accidents on Wednesday.   Just after 7:30am yesterday, two vehicle were involved in a collision on High Street in Liberty Center.  20 year old Samantha Smeltzer of Liberty Center was cited for Failing to Yield, with no injuries reported.

          At 3:23pm Wednesday an accident was checked-out on state route 34 near route 66.  Both drivers from Bryan were uninjured.

Henry County deputies investigated a suspicious person complaint at 3:17am yesterday on Wilhelm Street in Holgate.  20 year old Alex Rausch of Holgate was charged with Criminal Trespassing.

A break-in was reported along road 17 west of Napoleon at 7:43am Wednesday, when some cash was stolen from a vehicle.

Another theft sent the Henry County Sheriff’ office to road E near Deshler at 10:41am yesterday, where a golf cart was stolen.

An arrest was made at 6:30 Wednesday evening on Perry Street in Napoleon, where 29 year old Christopher Slone of Ridgeville Corners was taken into custody on a warrant from Defiance County.  Slone was turned over to their law officers.

Napoleon Police investigated criminal trespassing at 150 West Riverview at 11am yesterday.

A warning was issued for telephone harassment on Holly Hill Drive over the noon hour Wednesday.

Napoleon officers checked-out a report of an assault in the city at 1pm yesterday; but no charges have been filed at this time.

Warnings were issued for a disorderly conduct complaint at 8pm last night at 45 Appian Avenue.

Another argument erupted in the 200 block of Yeager Street at 10:20pm Wednesday, but no charges were filed.

          And Napoleon Police issued a summons to court for 53 year old Michael Pierce of Napoleon, charging him with Open Burning in the 500 block of East Washington Street at 12:17 this morning.
