Defiance County Prosecuting Attorney Morris Murray has announced the release of the following information regarding certain pending Criminal matters:

THE FOLLOWING PERSONS HAVE RECENTLY ENTERED GUILTY OR NO CONTEST PLEAS IN THE DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMON PLEAS COURT:

Joseph F. Kirk-age 52-Guilty plea to Aggravated Assault-F4, PSI ordered, sentencing 11/20/24 @ 2:30 p.m.

Brandon K. Whalen-age 27-Guilty plea to Aggravated Possession of Drugs-F5, PSI ordered, sentencing 11/5/24 @ 2:30 p.m.

PLEA/SENTENCING:

Danielle M. Nash-Kleinhenn-age 40-Guilty plea to Aggravated Possession of Drugs-F5 and sentenced to 11 months at ODRC to be served consecutively to terms of imprisonment imposed in Case Nos. 23 CR 15249, 24 CR 15343 and 24 CR 15404 for a total of 46 months at ODRC, 107 days jail credit, post-sentence investigation ordered, costs. (On December 2, 2023, during a traffic stop on Buckskin Rd., in Defiance, Nash-Kleinhenn was found in possession of Methamphetamine, a Schedule II drug.)

David Mendieta-age 62-Guilty plea to Failure to Appear as Required by Recognizance-F4 and sentenced to 17 months at ODRC to be served concurrently to term of imprisonment imposed in Case No. 24 CR 15313, 27 days jail credit, costs. (On June 3, 2024, Mendieta failed to appear at the Defiance County Common Pleas Court for a sentencing hearing, in connection with the commission of a felony, after having been released on a personal recognizance bond.)

Kristi M. Farquhar-age 54-Guilty plea to Aggravated Possession of Drugs-F5 and sentenced to 2 years CCS with 12 months at ODRC reserved in the event of a violation of CCS, no bars/alcohol, not use/possess/consume cannabis products, produce a clean urine screen at sentencing hearing, costs. (On March 12, 2023, on N. Clinton St., in Defiance, Farquhar was found in possession of Methamphetamine, a Schedule II drug.)

Kristi M. Farquhar-age 54-Guilty plea to Failure to Appear as Required by Recognizance-F4 and sentenced to 2 years CCS with 18 months at ODRC reserved in the event of a violation of CCS, no bars/alcohol, not use/possess/consume cannabis products, produce a clean urine screen at sentencing hearing, costs. (On May 28, 2024, Farquhar failed to appear at the Defiance County Common Pleas Court for a sentencing hearing, in connection with the commission of a felony, after having been released on a personal recognizance bond.)

THE FOLLOWING PERSONS HAVE RECENTLY BEEN SENTENCED IN THE DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMON PLEAS COURT:

David Mendieta-age 62-Sentenced for Aggravated Possession of Drugs-F5 to 11 months at ODRC to be served concurrently to term of imprisonment imposed in Case No. 24 CR 15457, 13 days jail credit, costs. (On November 22, 2023, during a traffic stop on SR 18 in Sherwood, Mendieta was found in possession of Methamphetamine, a Schedule II drug.)

Ryan M. Thompson-age 30-Sentenced for Possession of a Fentanyl-Related Compound-F5 and Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol, a Drug of Abuse or a Combination of Them-M1 to 2 years CCS with 12 months at ODRC reserved and 177 days at CCNO suspended in the event of a violation of CCS, credit for 3 mandatory days previously served at CCNO, no bars/alcohol, not use/possess/consume cannabis products, produce a clean urine screen at sentencing hearing, operator’s license suspended for 1 year beginning 2/9/24, pay $375 fine, costs. (On February 9, 2024, on Jefferson Ave., in Defiance, Thompson operated a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, and during a traffic stop, Thompson was found in possession of a Fentanyl-related compound.)

Kristi M. Farquhar-age 54-Sentenced for Aggravated Possession of Drugs-F5 to 2 years CCS with 12 months at ODRC reserved in the event of a violation of CCS, no bars/alcohol, not use/possess/consume cannabis products, produce a clean urine screen at sentencing hearing, costs. (On August 2, 2023, on Hardin Rd., in Defiance, Farquhar was found in possession of Methamphetamine, a Schedule II drug.)
