Defiance County Prosecuting Attorney Morris Murray has announced the release of the following information regarding certain pending Criminal matters:
Prosecutor Murray has announced that Damon W.M. Wagner, a 36-year-old Defiance man, was sentenced to prison for a sex offender registration violation offense.
Damon W.M. Wagner-age 36-Guilty plea to Failure to Provide Notice of Change in Vehicle Information or Identifiers-F3 and sentenced to 24 months at ODRC to be served concurrently to the terms of imprisonment imposed in Case Nos. 22 CR 14923 and 19 CR 13729, jail credit for 49 days, costs. According to Murray, from September 1, 2025, through October 10, 2025, Wagner, a registered sex offender, failed to notify the sheriff’s office of his change in internet identifiers, as required, and Wagner is a registered sex offender who was convicted of Gross Sexual Imposition in 2023.

Anitra D. Warren-age 44-Guilty plea to Misdemeanor Theft-M1 and sentenced to 1 year of probation with 6 months at CCNO suspended in the event of a probation violation, no similar violations, be of general good behavior, pay $36.71 in restitution to victim, costs, (restitution and costs due within 60 days). (On June 4, 2025, on N. Clinton St., in Defiance, Warren used a debit card belonging to another, without permission, to purchase property or services.)
THE FOLLOWING PERSONS HAVE RECENTLY BEEN SENTENCED IN THE DEFIANCE COUNTY COMMON PLEAS COURT:
Steven R. Collins-age 46-Sentenced for Aggravated Possession of Drugs-F5 to 11months at ODRC to be served concurrently to terms of imprisonment ordered in Case Nos. 20 CR 14011 and 25 CR 15653, costs. (On October 26, 2024, during a traffic stop on N. Clinton St., in Defiance, Collins was found in possession of Methamphetamine, a Schedule II drug.)
Sandra AKA Alexandra Diaz-Mitchell-age 58-Sentenced for Grand Theft of a Motor Vehicle-F4 and Forgery-F4 to 4 years CCS with 36 months at ODRC reserved in the event of a violation of CCS, pay $11,445 in restitution to victim, costs. (On March 30, 2017, Diaz provided a cashier’s check in an amount over $61,000 to a local car dealership as payment for a vehicle, knowing the check was fraudulent.)
Katie J. Wallischeck-age 36-Sentenced for Aggravated Possession of Drugs-F3 to 2 years CCS with 36 months at ODRC reserved in the event of a violation of CCS, no bars/alcohol, not obtain/possess/use cannabis or cannabis products, costs.
