Cher has a lot of stories to tell, and she's telling them in a two-part memoir titled Cher: The Memoir, Part One and Part Two. Ahead of the first installment's release, the pop icon recalled a hilarious story about attending a party at the Playboy Mansion with John Lennon and Harry Nilsson. She met the iconic musicians at a Los Angeles restaurant in 1974 and invited them to a "movie night" at the infamous mansion, which was known to be a tamer event; however, the duo proceeded to get drunk, "stripped naked" and jumped into the swimming pool.
The Mirror shared an excerpt of Cher's memoir, where she writes: “Giggling and falling over each other, John and Harry followed me out into the grounds. Sitting them down inside the infamous Grotto – it was like a huge cave that one end of the swimming pool went into – I went to find a drink and when I came back they were standing in the middle of the Grotto naked but still in the water, thank God."
“I was trying not to laugh, but it was impossible not to as they threatened to wander around the mansion naked," she continued. "It took me ages to get them back in their clothes. It was like herding drunks.”
Cher: The Memoir, Part One is slated for a November 19 release, and Part Two is due out next year.
