A fatal crash early Monday morning has taken the life of a Defiance man. Defiance Police were called to a single vehicle accident on Perry Street at the CSX Railroad bridge viaduct at 1:27am yesterday. 53 year old Benjamin Rodriguez, Jr. of Defiance lost control of his vehicle, striking the bridge viaduct; and was pronounced dead at the scene. The exact cause of death for Benjamin Rodriguez Jr. is still under investigation, and an autopsy was ordered through the Lucas County Coroner’s Office.
