BREAK-IN AT DEFIANCE PHARMACY LEADS TO THEFT OF DRUGS

More details are being released concerning a break-in at the Okuley Pharmacy on East Second Street in Defiance that occurred last Wednesday, January 24th.  Video evidence indicates there were three suspects that entered the building using a crowbar.  The suspects were wearing face coverings, and entered the store around 3:30am.They were able to break-into a secured area, and stole a quantity of controlled drugs that are prescription medication.  The suspects exited the pharmacy in Defiance and took-off in a black Hyundai Tucson.

From Defiance, they travelled to Ottawa and Findlay, and pulled off similar break-ins at pharmacies in those cities; also stealing controlled drugs. This happened before 5:30am on January 24th.

Defiance Police are asking anyone that saw a suspicious black Hyundai in the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 24th to contact their office at 784-5050.
