Police in the city of Defiance have made arrests in connection with a rape case, and an injury accident.
Defiance Police were dispatched around 11:15pm Thursday to Village Lane where an assault was reported. The investigation revealed 26 year old Ashtyn James Lee Aden Jr. of Defiance was charged with Rape and Aggravated Burglary. Ashton Aden was held at the regional jail, with additional charges pending.
Then at 2:48am Friday, Defiance Police were called concerning an injury accident on Hopkins Street. It was learned a female subject was intentionally struck by a vehicle that fled from the scene. The driver was later identified as 32 year old John Ware of Toledo. Ware later turned himself in to Defiance Police, and has been charged with Felonious Assault. Ware was held at CCNO.
