DEFIANCE GRAND JURY INDICTS 12, INCLUDING CASES OF RAPE, KIDNAPPING, ARSON

A dozen persons were indicted by the Defiance County Grand Jury charging multiple sex offenses, and another subject for kidnapping. Prosecuting Attorney Morris Murray presented the cases, including 51 year old Donald E. Laney of Hicksville who was indicted for Kidnapping, two counts of Aggravated Arson, Strangulation, along with Violating a Protection Order, two more counts of Domestic Violence, Intimidation of a Witness, Victim, or Attorney, and for Disrupting Public Services.  It is alleged that Laney on May 28th entered a residence along State Route 2 in Defiance County, and caused physical harm to a subject, and set fire to the residence. It’s also reported that Laney has two previous convictions for violent offenses against family members.

38 year old TJ Tressler, who’s now in a Tennessee prison, was indicted on 24 counts of Rape, in a case that involved a victim under the age of 10.

56 year old John R. Collins, who’s now being held in an Ohio prison, was indicted on six counts of Rape, which involved crimes against a victim under 13. It’s also alleged that Collins committed sexual offenses with other victims under the age of 10.

57 year old Michael Groh of Defiance was indicted by the Defiance County Grand Jury for 10 counts of Gross Sexual Imposition, allegedly involving a victim under the age of 13.

And 39 year old Diontae Torrez of Defiance was indicted on five counts of Sexual Battery, for alleged sexual offenses against an adult female in May of this year.
