MURDER INVESTIGATION IN DEFIANCE LEADS TO ARREST OF LOCAL MAN, BRANNON

A murder investigation in Defiance has led to the grand jury indictment of a local man on multiple charges.  Defiance County Prosecuting Attorney Morris Murray reports 41 year old Keith B. Brannon of Defiance is in custody, and facing charges of Aggravated Murder, Murder, and Tampering with Evidence. 

At 12:55pm on Thursday, March 23rd, Defiance Police and emergency personnel were called to the 1600 block of Durango Drive in Defiance, where they found a deceased male adult.  That victim was 31 year old Brandon Bailey of Napoleon. And the victim's body was found in the home of Keith Brannon. Based upon physical evidence at the scene, and autopsy findings provided by the Lucas County Coroner’s Office, it was determined that Bailey’s death was the result of a homicide.   The grand jury indictment alleges Keith Brannon altered or removed evidence from the scene, after the death of Brandon Bailey. The indictment also charges Brannon with purpose and prior calculation and design, cause the death of Brandon Bailey.
