KYLE VERHOFF IS NEW DEFIANCE COUNTY AG AGENT

A Putnam County native will take-over duties as Defiance County’s new OSU Extension agent for Agriculture and Natural Resources. Kyle Verhoff was named to the post, replacing Bruce Clevenger, who has taken a state position with OSU Extension. Verhoff grew up in Putnam County taking sheep, swine and dairy feeders to the fair in Ottawa; and is a graduate of Pandora Gilboa High School. That led him to pursuit of his Agriculture degree from Ohio State University, focused on Sustainable Plant Systems. He will earn his masters from OSU this May.   Kyle’s master’s thesis was focused on the effect of varied grazing intensities on forage and livestock production.  He begins duties as Defiance County’s new ag-agent on May 8th of this year.
