The Defiance County Grand Jury met this week, indicting nearly 2 dozen persons, including 24 year old Zachery D. Billings of Defiance for Attempted Murder. The indictments were presented by Defiance County Prosecuting Attorney Morris Murray. 24 year old Zachery Billings was indicted for Attempted Murder, along with two counts of Felonious Assault, and other charges of Domestic Violence and Kidnapping. The case stems from alleged crimes that occurred May 29th at a residence on Rivera Road in Defiance, involving an adult female victim.
Also indicted was 43 year old Bruce W. Canada of Van Wert on 9 counts of Gross Sexual Imposition, concerning alleged crimes involving a victim under the age of 10.
45 year old Bobbie J. Spilker of Defiance was indicted for Aggravated Burglary, and for Felonious Assault.
And the following subjects were indicted by the Defiance County Grand Jury for Aggravated Riot, concerning an alleged altercation at a business on South Clinton Street in Defiance on February 5th: 22 year old Benjamin L. Estle, 32 year old Eric J. Garcia, 41 year old Reginald L. Waters, 21 year old Devrion L. Jones, and 49 year old Samuel J. Perez-all of Defiance.
