A Defiance man has been indicted for Attempted Murder and other charges by the Defiance County Grand Jury.50 year old William T. Reed of Defiance was indicted for Attempted Murder, during a domestic violence incident on July 13th of this year. Reed was also indicted for Menacing by Stalking, along with Domestic Violence.
And 77 year old William C. Messman of Defiance was indicted by the grand jury for Rape, Attempted Rape, and two counts of Gross Sexual Imposition. The alleged crimes involved juvenile victims from May of this year; but also stem from crimes dating back to 2017 to 2019.The location of the alleged sexual assaults was Messman’s residence on Dakota Place in Defiance.
