WAUSEON SCHOOL BD HONORS LONG-TIME FB COACH LARRY FRUTH WITH STADIUM NAME

The Wauseon School Board of Education honored a long-time football coach, and graduate of Napoleon, adding his name to historic Harmon Field. The board approved naming the football complex Larry L. Fruth stadium, in recognition of coaching the Wauseon gridiron program for 24 years, amassing 141 wins and 5 league championships during that span. Larry Fruth is a member of both the Napoleon and Wauseon Athletic Hall of Fame.

The Wauseon School Board also commended athletic director Matt Hutchinson for being selected as the new recipient of the Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Association Meritorious Service Award.

Wauseon Schools announced a new student resource officer for the coming year- it will be Michael Oehlers. And in other personnel action, the Wauseon Board accepted the resignation of head cook Jodi Sauber, and approved Linda Rufenacht and Trinity Pritchard to the cafeteria staff.
