DELTA VARIANT OF COVID HITTING NW OHIO, NUMBERS ON THE RISE

The Delta strain of the Corona Virus is hitting northwest Ohio and a rise in cases is being reported by the Defiance County Health Department. The latest numbers indicate Defiance County has the 13th highest incident rate around the state. The Delta variant is more transmissible, and affects a younger population. Unvaccinated residents are the most susceptible to this disease, but a vaccination can keep the virus from spreading. Defiance County is hosting a vaccine clinic at the health department on Tuesday from 11am till 1pm; and on Thursday from 4 till 6pm.Their office is located at 1300 East Second Street in Defiance.
