NAPOLEON COUNCIL STARTS PROCESS OF SELLING ELECTRIC SUB-STATIONS

Napoleon City Council has confirmed the move by the city’s board of public affairs, to sell the city’s north side and industrial electric substations, along with the 69 kilovolt transmission system. Council authorized the law director to draw-up legislation to start that process, which also includes an agreement for Napoleon crews to continue providing maintenance for the system.

Napoleon Council awarded the bid for the miscellaneous street improvement this year to Bryan Excavating at about $443,000.The work will take place on North Sheffield and Michigan Avenue, and should commence soon. Council also approved plans and specs for the Front Street interceptor sewer project, and a force main relocation. That project will go out to bid. And Napoleon Council approved legislation to seek grant dollars through ODOT for infrastructure projects.
