DEFIANCE CITY PLANNING TO CONSIDER MAJOR INVESTMENT FOR KELLER LOGISTICS

The city of Defiance will be considering an expansion project for Keller Logistics on the north side of the community. Both the Northeastern Local and Four County School Boards have already approved the proposal, which calls for a 7.1 million dollar investment. Keller’s have plans for a nearly 200,000 square foot facility to be constructed on the west end of East Commerce Drive, across from Johns Manville. This building would serve as a new packaging structure, and enhance warehouse and logistics for Keller’s. The property is already zoned industrial, and the project will go before the Defiance City planning commission next week. Defiance County Commissioners would also have to review the plans for the tax abatement agreement.
