JUNE 2021 WAS A WET ONE IN NW OHIO

The month of June produced plenty of moisture across northwest Ohio, topping the average for June. The rain-gauge measured 5.35 inches last month, which is about 1.8 inches above the normal precipitation for June. There were 11 days in the month when rain was recorded, the greatest amount on June 26th, when 1.08 inches of rain fell. The 1.21 inches from the past 24 hours was actually recorded on July 1, so that will count with that month’s total. In June of 2020, only 2.2 inches of rain was recorded, so the 5.35 inches for this June was quite a difference. Checking the charts, average rainfall for July is 4.12 inches, making it the wettest month of the year in northwest Ohio.
