FAIRVIEW GIRLS SOFTBALL TEAM WINS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP IN DIV. 3 IN AKRON

For the first time in school history, the Fairview Apaches Girls Softball team has won the state championship. They wrapped-up the title with a final game win over Canfield South Range by a score of 10-0.Paige Ricica pitched the shutout for the victory; while five Apaches collected two hits each in the championship game :Olivia Ricica, Paige Ricica, Cassie Mavis, Kiersten Cline, and Alyssa Merritt.

Fairview finished the season with a record of 28-1, winning the last 28 in a row, after an opening loss to Bryan. Staci Renollet’s team had beaten Wheelersburg in the state semi-final by a score of 10-8.
