OFFICIALS COLLECTING DATA ON TRANSPORTATION NEEDS IN NW OHIO FOR ODOT FUNDS

Officials in northwest Ohio are trying to determine if there is a need to improve public transportation in the region. Henry County has had their own transportation network for well over a decade, and nearby counties are looking into the issue. Kim Lammers is mobility manager for Maumee Valley Planning Organization, and says they are gathering input from the public at this time, trying to determine transportation needs. the website to take part in the survey for transportation needs is at nwomobility.com

The survey will be up through the end of May to collect data; and then determine what kind of needs exist. ODOT will use that information to decide if they need to provide more funds and vehicles for the northwest corner of the state.
