There will be no early election or primary election in Defiance County this year. Not enough candidates filed to run for Defiance City Council, to force a run-off for either party. And there were no issues filed for consideration in May.
That means the next election will be in November for Defiance County residents, when they will decide city and village council seats, local school boards, along with township trustee candidates.
There may also be some issued submitted for the ballot in November, with that deadline later in summer.
