It looks like Henry County will be looking for a new economic development director again. Henry County CIC president Jim Drewes reports executive director of the CIC, April Welch submitted her letter of resignation last Friday. She’ll be taking a new position in economic development with a Columbus based company. Welch will wrap-up her tenure in Henry County this week, after two years of serving the businesses of the county, and helping to attract new companies and expansions. Jennifer Arps will serve as interim director, while a new search committee is formed in the Henry County Community Improvement Corporation.
