For the first time in history, the monthly sales tax revenue for Henry County has surpassed a half million dollars. County auditor Kevin Garringer released the figures for March, which indicate sales tax receipts hit $502,932.That’s an increase of 23% over March of last year, and reflects local sales from around December. So far in 2021, Henry County has received over 1.3 million dollars in sales tax revenues, compared to about 1.1 million dollars for the first three months of 2020.The next highest month ever for sales tax receipts in Henry County was October of last year, at just under $455,000.
