Every county in northwest Ohio saw their unemployment rates drop again in the month of August, falling below the state average of 8.9% for last month.
The lowest jobless rate in the Four County area was Fulton County at 6.7%, down from 7.1% in July.Henry County’s unemployment rate dipped to 6.9%, down from 7.4% the month before.Williams County fell from 7.4 to 7%.
And Defiance County’s jobless rate was 7.3% in August, down from 7.5.
The lowest unemployment in the region was Putnam County, falling from 5.2 to 4.7% in August.
Checking around the Buckeye State; the highest jobless rate was Monroe County at 11.9%.While the lowest unemployment rate was found in Holmes County at 4.1% last month.
