A suspect has been arrested in connection with a break-in and vehicle theft in Defiance County.At about 7:10am Monday, the Defiance County Sheriff’s office was contacted regarding a theft on Liska Lane, just northeast of Defiance off Elliot Road.Multiple items were stolen from the property, including a Ford F-350 pickup.Then at 12:48pm, an off-duty Defiance County deputy observed that vehicle travelling on Behrens Road.The vehicle later crashed on Behrens Road near Moser Road, and located at the scene was 26 year old Dylon Stites of Lake Shore Drive rural Defiance.Stites was transported to the regional jail, on a charge of Receiving Stolen Property.A search of the Lake Shore Drive property of Stites led to the recovery of multiple items stolen in the theft complaint on Liska Lane.The case file is being turned over to the Defiance County prosecutor’s office for further charges that could be presented to a grand jury.
