The results of a community survey on re-opening Defiance City Schools were discussed at the Wednesday board of education meeting.67% of over 400 responders indicated they wanted to send their students back to the classroom full time, with safety protocols in place.27% were unsure of how to send their children back, but many indicated they did not want a partial day or alternating day schedule.About 50% of parents also reported they would drive their student to school, rather than bus transportation.
Defiance City Schools will be coming out with more information on re-opening in the next two weeks.
In personnel action, the Defiance Board hired Nathan Headley as the new girls varsity basketball coach, replacing Rafael Manriquez, who left for a position at Ayersville.Headley has been part of the girls bkb program the past 8 years.
And Bethany Lamb was hired as a new teacher for family and consumer science.
