DEFIANCE PUBLIC LIBRARY DUSTS OFF BOOKMOBILE SERVICE, TO START JUNE 17

Remember the days of bookmobiles cruising into the towns of northwest Ohio to provide reading material in the rural areas?Well, the Defiance Public Library is dusting off its bookmobile service, since the library and its branches are closed to the public.Now the bookmobile is a van, and its equipped with a WiFi hotspot, plus there’s books to check-out; you can place holds on library materials, and even sign-up for a library card.The summer reading program game-cards are available at the bookmobile, and you can redeem prizes too.

The bookmobile schedule begins Wednesday, June 17th; with stops in Defiance, Evansport, and Ney.Friday’s stops will include Defiance, Farmer Township, and Hicksville.Then on Monday the bookmobile will hit Jewell, and three more locations in Defiance.Check the website www.defiancelibrary.org for all the stops, times and other info.
