A rural Henry County man is in custody, and his brother is dead following a shooting incident reported Friday afternoon.The Henry County Sheriff’s office was dispatched after gunshots were heard at property along county road 6 near road M,just outside of Grelton.When deputies responded, they found James Ottinger, who is in his late 50’s, dead at the scene.The Bureau of Criminal Investigation along with the Henry County sheriff’s office collected evidence at the scene, and interviewed witnesses. A shotgun was recovered at the crime site, that is believed to be the weapon involved in the shooting.Arrested at the scene was 53 year old Randall Ottinger, who lived at the county road 6 residence.Randall Ottinger has been charged with Murder, and already appeared in Napoleon Municipal Court, where bond was set at a half million dollars.The preliminary cause of death for James Ottinger is believed to be a gunshot wound; but the full results of an autopsy are still being evaluated.The site of the crime is also where the Ottinger brothers parents reside.No other injuries were reported, and Randall Ottinger is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in court on Thursday.
