In Ohio, the unemployment rate for April jumped to 16.8%, from the figure in March of 5.8%.But the numbers were much higher in northwest Ohio counties.Defiance County had the sixth highest jobless rate among counties in the state, at 22.3%.Henry, Fulton, and Williams Counties all checked-in at 21.1% for their unemployment.Putnam County was lowest in the region with their jobless rate of 14.9% in April.Wood County was at 17%, and Paulding County at 19.8%.The highest unemployment rate among Ohio’s 88 counties was Logan County at 30.1%; while the lowest was Holmes County at 6.5%.In other states, Florida and Georgia had the biggest jump in jobless numbers last week.Vermont and Rhode Island showed the smallest increases.
