DEFIANCE COMMISSIONERS REVIEW ROAD WORK THIS WEEK, AND CHILD SUPPORT

An update on road-work, and a recap of the first quarter in child support was part of the news for Defiance County Commissioners Monday.The paving and road patching contractor will be working in Delaware and Noble Townships of Defiance County this week.And the widening project on Harris Road is on the docket for Wednesday weather permitting.Defiance County highway department crews will be working on culvert replacements and grading work on Blanchard Road, and at the intersection of Canal Road and Powers Road.

Defiance County’s first quarter 2020 child support indicates they are working on 2,611 cases for families, down from over 2,700 just five years ago.Collections for Defiance County child support in the first quarter of this year have topped 1.5 million dollars.That’s down about $220,000 from the report in 2015.
