It’s official, the Ohio Bureau of Worker’s Compensation has approved funding of 1.6 billion dollars, going to Ohio employers this Spring to ease the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the state’s economy and business community.
The BWC met in a virtual emergency session in response to the Governor’s call for state agencies to do all they can to help employers withstand the challenges of the corona virus.
Of the 1.6 billion dollars, 1.4 billion will go to private employers, and about 200 million dollars will be targeted for local government worksites like counties, cities, townships, and schools.Checks will be mailed out later this month.
