CONSTRUCTION CREWS IN DEFIANCE FISH STOLEN VEHICLE FROM MAUMEE RIVER

They’re still trying to figure out the owner of a vehicle that was fished-out of the Maumee River in Defiance by construction crews on Tuesday.Great Lakes Construction was removing the stone causeway that helped in building the new bridge over the Maumee River, when they noticed something in the water.The object turned-out to be the remains of a vehicle stolen in Defiance back in 1993, with the license plate intact.IT was a 1983 Buick Century; but Defiance Police have no information as to the owner of this stolen auto.Any information can be forwarded to the police department.
