FOUR COUNTY ADAMS BOARD PROVIDES GRANTS TO LOCAL SCHOOLS FOR HEALTH ISSUES

The Four County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services has received a prevention grant from the Ohio Department of Education, totaling $322,000.The money will be utilized to provide grants to local schools seeking to answer health concerns in their buildings.The one-time grants will total $10,000 to $15,000, and will require an assessment by the local schools to identify the health concern.The grant stipulates the money must be used by June 30th of this year, and each district will have to explain how they are addressing their local health concern, going forward.

The Four County ADAMs board also approved a $12,000 award to Recovery Services of Northwest Ohio, to help them pay for a nurse practitioner and her services at locations in Napoleon and Bryan.
