ELECTION DAY IS TUESDAY

A number of local candidate races and issues will be on the ballot Tuesday around northwest Ohio for the general election 2019.The polls open at 6:30am tomorrow, and will remain open till 7:30pm Tuesday night.The candidates are running for seats on city and town councils, also for mayor, and for township trustee positions, fiscal officers, and local school boards of education.

There are new polling locations in Henry County.If you voted at St. John Freedom, St. Paul Lutheran or Ridgeville Fire Station, your new voting location is the Ridgeville American Legion on road 19.

If you voted at the Holgate Municipal Building or New Bavaria VFW in the past, you will now vote at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church on Joe E. Brown Avenue in Holgate.

If you voted at Hope Services in Napoleon before, your new location is the Church of the Nazarene on Appian Avenue in Napoleon.

If you voted at St. John Church, Richfield Township in the past, you will now be voting at the Ridge Project along state route 65 near McClure.

And if you voted at the Napoleon American Legion Hall, you will now cast your ballot at the Legion Annex on Glenwood Avenue in Napoleon.

Henry County has mostly renewal levies on the ballot for villages and townships; but there are also renewal levies for the Corn City Fire District, and the Holgate Community Library.In Defiance County the issues on the ballot include tax requests for the Ayersville and Fairview school districts.Remember a photo ID is required to cast a ballot.
