NW STATE COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOUNDATION PRESENTS HUGE CHECK

A huge check for over $765,000 was presented by the Northwest State Community College Foundation to the board of trustees, from fund-raising efforts over the past year.Those dollars will go toward student scholarships, equipment, outreach programs, and student support efforts.That means over the past ten years, businesses and individuals have made donations to Northwest State Community College topping 5 million dollars.

The Northwest State Board also heard about a proposed agri-business degree program for the campus, which was approved by the board of trustees.In personnel action, Makenzie Warncke was hired as Associate Director-Financial Aid, and Kaylea Scott was named financial aid counselor.The board also hired Matthew Gomez and Jason Baun in facilities positions.And they accepted the resignation of Tim Nelson in special projects.
