The Defiance County Commissioners reviewed a report from county treasurer Vickie Myers, whoreported the tax delinquency rate for the county was 1.72%, well below the state average of 5%.Myers reports there is about $799,000 owed to Defiance County in taxes.And the report on county investments indicates there is nearly 39 million dollars being invested at 1.9% interest.
Defiance County Engineer Warren Schlatter reports the Arrowsmith Road bridge is nearly complete, and weather-permitting it could open by the end of the week.
