Law officers in northwest Ohio are looking for a suspect in connection with a bank robbery that occurred in Paulding County Wednesday morning.Paulding County Sheriff Jason Landers reports deputies were dispatched to the State Bank and Trust on North First Street in Oakwood at 9:20am yesterday.A man had entered the bank around 9:12am, dressed in dark pants, wearing a light colored hooded jacket with black stripe. The suspect had a mask over his face, and was wearing a ball cap, with black gloves on his hands. He carried a blue bag, and demanded money. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, and it’s believed he left in a white Chevy cargo style van. There were no customers in the bank when the robbery occurred, and neither of the two tellers were injured. The suspect could have had a weapon, but did not show it.Law officers believe the van they are looking for has Indiana plates. There are some leads being followed at this time, but Sheriff Landers is asking anyone that saw a suspicious vehicle around Oakwood yesterday morning, or in the county, should contact the Paulding County Sheriff’s office. The FBI has been called-in to the investigation.
