Defiance Police have made an arrest in connection with that vehicle-train collision in the city on July 26th.In the early morning hours that day, an abandoned CSX Railroad pickup was left on the railroad tracks.A CSX train struck the truck at the Squires Street crossing; but no injuries were reported.Defiance Police have arrested 34 year old Jeffrey A. Smith, who is listed as homeless, in the investigation.Smith has been charged with Receiving Stolen Property, which is the pickup.He was held at CCNO, and then released after his court appearance.
